Hey guys!! I choose Sherlock Holmes as one of my favorite movie. As for your information, I am the big fan of this movie as I already watch the second series of it. I’ve been thinking that you guys might be wondering why do I choose this movie and what makes this movie interesting. Well, I will let you guys know once u finish reading this. J This movie had been releases on December 24th 2009. Sherlock Holmes is not only the ‘greatest detective of all time’ but also the world’s most famous literary character, Sherlock Holmes first appeared in A Study in Scarlet published in the Beeton’s Christmas Annual in 1887. Holmes and Dr Watson’s search for lodgings, ‘You have been to Afghanistan I perceive’ remarked Holmes on their first meeting. This becomes Holmes’ stock in trade not just in Conan Doyle’s original stories but also the countless adaption, parodies and films.
What I saw in this movie is friendship and it’s happen between Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson. Holmes might looked like he don’t even care about anyone but the truth is he really do care about his best friend and so does his former girlfriend named Irene Adler. This shows when Holmes felt really sad when he thought that Watson died in explosive that happens right in front of him. At that time, they were actually breaking in into the lab that Lord Blackwood’s people do a research that combine sorcery and scientific method. This method been used in order to manipulated people to believe in magic. Moreover, half of folk there believe in ritual so does sacrifice. This belief getting stronger when Lord Blackwood manages to shows that he has capabilities to possess and harm people. This shows people at that time do not think logically as people nowadays. When this happen, folk there will automatically believe in whatever the leader said in order to protect them and their family from harm. This type of mentality can lead to problems in politic and social life.
Holmes is a very particular and detail person as he could analyze people only by looking at them. Even when he was fighting or defending himself, he knows where exactly to attack at the attackers’ weaknesses. So he always won although he does not have big figure. This type of self-defend should be learned by people nowadays especially for a women. In this movie, there is even having some sorts of innovation whereas the towering structure had been introduced. It is actually the first combination of bascule and suspension bridge ever attempted at that time. Other than that, people at that time always discriminate among each other. We can see exactly who are from a rich family and who are not. People that are poor will be oppressing by the rich one. Furthermore, they even have trading activities. Which is at that time they used coins to do selling. Whilst people nowadays used money note and coins. Politic takes place when we realized the real motive Lord Blackwood tried so hard to make folk afraid of him is that he wanted to takes over the parliament. Once he could control parliament he could control the entire country. Parliament at that time believes that Lord Blackwood has magic that can control everything but actually he only used science to make the magic looks real. Whilst parliament nowadays are more reliable as they were making decision based on fact and proof. All this mysterious have been solved by Sherlock Holmes. So as far as I can conclude, Sherlock Holmes is the greatest detective that never lived and who will never die.
